BREDENT RESIN SUPPORT
Exakto-Form Resin
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE EXAKTO-FORM MODEL RESIN
Dual component model material, based on polyurethane, for fabricating extremely precise dental models. Thanks to its very low viscosity, it is easily poured into impressions without entrapping air voids. This cost-effective model resin features absolutely precise reproduction of surfaces, dimensional stability and unequaled precision of fit with no expansion whatsoever.
- Presentation
- - Exakto-form model resin is supplied in cans containing 50 g. each of components A and B.
- - 1 assortment includes 6 x 50 g. cans components A and 6 x 50 g. cans of component B.
- - Both components are also available separately.
Directions - Application I
Always follow safety precautions!
Shake the tubs well before opening. Rip the lids off both tubs. To ensure that components A and B are mixed homogeneously, they must be stirred thoroughly before using, to mix the material which has settled.
Pour the contents of the component B tub into the tub containing component A (mixing ratio 1:1). Mix the two components thoroughly within 30 seconds. Working time is 2 to 3 minutes. Separate from impression after 30 minutes; maximum final hardness is achieved after 1.5 hours.
Application I
As this is a polyurethane based, dual-component material, it is inevitable that component B will react prematurely with the mixture in the atmosphere when the can is opened. Therefore, to prevent the moisture in the atmosphere from contacting the material for too long, and consequent premature setting, component B should be used immediately!
Directions - Application II
Should you require a small amount of Exakto-Form model resin (less than 100 g), you can fill the entire contents of tubs A & B into separate syringes and extrude the desired amount into a mixing vessel in a ratio of 1:1. Mix the two components thoroughly within 30 seconds. Working time 2-3 minutes. Separate from impression after 30 minutes. Maximum final hardness attained after 1.5 hours. Please make absolutely certain that you use the remaining material in the syringes within 2 days! Shake the tubs well before opening. Rip the lids off both cans. To ensure that components A & B are mixed homogeneously, they must be stirred thoroughly before each use to mix material which may have settled.
Application II

Pi-ku-plast HP 36
Pi-ku-plast HP 36 Precision Pattern Resin
Optimum contouring properties, will not slump. Available in 5 different transparent colors to allow the thickness to be checked and to contract well within the wax. When used with the Pi-Ku-Plast separating agent, resin inner copings can be base for producing milled restorations. Ideal for connecting bar sections for soldering.
Due to the multigrain design, Pi-Ku-Plast absorbs less monomer and therefore has less shrinkage. Various grain sizes shift into the gaps of each other for a compact, sturdy application. The burnout is clean and complete. In burnout, Pi-Ku-Plast does not expand but collapses. This puts no internal stress in the casting ring, resulting in a clean, stress-free casting.
Pikuplast Dip System
Control viscosity, Save material, Save time, Save money
Wet the brush with the Pi-Ku-Plast monomer. The amount and firmness of the portion can be controlled by the amount of monomer on the brush and the time it is immersed in the polymer. Because the material does not have to be pre-mixed, no resin is wasted due to over mixing the two components. After using, the brush is cleaned in the cleaner and the vessels are covered to keep the Pi-Ku-Plast in good working condition.
- Dip the flat side of the brush into the polymer to take up large portions.
- Dip the narrow side of the brush into the polymer to take up small portions.
- Dip only the brush tip into the polymer to take up very small portions.
Instructions
Optimal control of layer thickness thanks to the transparent colors of Pi-Ku-Plast HP36
Thanks to the smooth, high-lustrous reproduction of the metal surface of the primary element, a perfect inner surface of the secondary crown is obtained.
By using Pi-Ku-Plast Separating Agent, Order No. 540 001 82, for the first time ever, resin primary elements can be produced on varnish-coated dies. This is the perfect basis for milled restorations.
Entirely gap-free fit of the Pi-Ku-Plast outer coping allows perfect precision of the secondary elements.
Implant bars can be secured in place rigidly with optimal dimensional stability.
Pi-Ku-Plast HP 36
For accurate, stable and millable resin dies and frameworks
The competitor’s resin and Pi-Ku-Plast HP in the incineration test.
At 275°C the competitor’s product foams and expands considerably.
At 300°C the competitor’s product reveals distinctive expansion whereas Pi-Ku-Plast reduces in volume.
Identical copings produced with brush resin.
The competitor’s resin and Pi-Ku-Plast HP 36, prepared for investing.
The considerable expansion of the competitor’s resin during the incineration phase resulted in the fracture of the investment material die in the casting ring. After casting, the crown is sealed with a lid and cannot be used. A section through the cast crown shows the fractured die.
Through friction heat during grinding and high heat sensitivity, the plasticity phase of the competitor’s resin can be reached. Deformation of the model, rough grinding surfaces, and inadequate fit may result.
Pi-Ku-Plast features dimensional stability; during grinding fine shavings are obtained and a smooth grinding surface is ensured.
The considerable expansion of the competitor’s resin during the incineration phase resulted in the fracture of the investment material die in the casting ring. After casting, the crown is sealed with a lid and cannot be used. A section through the cast crown shows the fractured die.
The extremely low shrinkage of Pi-Ku-Plast allows to obtain a tension free model and precision fit casting.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
PI-KU-PLAST
Before using this product, please read and follow these instructions carefully.
1. Indication Range
Pi-Ku-Plast is a cold-polymerizing resin for:
- modeling of secondary elements for all types of attachments and double crowns
- stress-free fixation and connection of crowns during soldering work and during the preparation of the wax pattern
- the production of resin dies
- copings on plaster dies; with the use of Pi-Ku-Plast separating agent (Item #540 001 82) as insulating agent.
2. Processing
2.1 Preparation of the object
The plaster dies must be insulated once with Pi-Ku-Plast separating agent before modeling the resin copings. Apply Pi-Ku-Plast after a drying time of approx. 5 min. The metal surfaces of primary elements should be polished to high luster and should not have undercuts in order not to render the removal of the Pi-Ku-Plast coping.
2.2 Preparation
Fill polymer, monomer and cleaner into the containers included in the Pi-Ku-Plast assortment. The color is included in the monomer. Put the enclosed round marking that corresponds to the color of the monomer into the monomer container.
Please note:
- Polymer and monomer must be poured back into the container. (Caution: cleaner must be removed from the brush before the brush is immersed into the monomer). It can be stored for a few days in well-sealed working containers.
- Do not mix cleaner with monomer. (Caution: the cleaner affects the accuracy of fit, resistance, to fracture and hardening).
- If polymer (powder) gets into the working container of the monomer (liquid), the liquid must be replaced. Otherwise the monomer polymerizes within 2 days - even in a well-sealed working container.
- After usage, the container must be immediately sealed again.
- Do not spill monomer - it stains!
2.3 Processing
Wet the brush with monomer and then dip the tip of the brush into the polymer. Depending on the monomer quantity on the brush, as well as the duration of immersion and the immersion depth in the polymer, the quantity that is absorbed can be varied. By keeping the resin on the tip of the brush for 2 - 5 seconds, a plastic modeling behavior is achieved so that even cusps and bulges can be easily applied. Accordingly, it is possible to take up the exact quantity of Pi-Ku-Plast required and to control the modeling behavior. Contamination of the monomer with polymer or also with the cleaner (wet brush after cleaning) can affect the properties of the resin (increased bonding to the metal, reduced hardness).
Recommendation: The monomer in the working container should be exchanged every day! Pi-Ku-Plast can be perfectly milled and does not form any gaps when it is applied onto Pi-Ku-Plast material that has already polymerized. Clean the brush before Pi-Ku-Plast has hardened.
Please note: After cleaning, the brush must be dried well; the cleaner must not get into the monomer!
2.4 Processing Time
The processing time varies depending on the room temperature. At 23º C it amounts to 4 - 5 min.
Further Processing
Pi-Ku-Plast can be applied in layers. The product can even be applied onto hardened Pi-Ku-Plast without the formation of fine gaps. It does not affect the quality of the pattern. All modeling waxes can be applied onto Pi-Ku-Plast.
Please note: Wax acts like an insulating material, therefore roughening of Pi-Ku-Plast is required before new application. Pi-Ku-Plast can be processed with all commercially available rotating instruments. If desired, Pi-Ku-Plast can also be polished. Pi-Ku-Plast is perfectly suitable for connecting wax patterns since it generates only minimum setting heat. During burning, Pi-Ku-Plast does not generate any expansion forces but it collapses. This way damage to the shape prior to the cristobalite crack is avoided.
2.5 Use in the patient
Pi-Ku-Plast is not an approved medical product and must not be used in the patient's mouth
3. Safety Recommendations and Hazard Warnings
3.1 Protective clothing
While working with Pi-Ku-Plast, safety glasses, protective clothing and safety gloves must be worn.
3.2 Pi-Ku-Plast must only be used in places that are well ventilated. Open fire/flame and smoking are prohibited.
3.3 For safe handling of Pi-Ku-Plast, please refer to the safety data sheet.
3.4 If Pi-Ku-Plast gets in contact with skin, mucous membrane or eyes, it must be immediately rinsed off with water. In case of allergic reactions, please seek medical attention.
4. Storage and Durability
4.1 Pi-Ku-Plast must be stored under dry conditions at a maximum temperature of 30º C and it must be protected from light. The durability can be increased by storing it in the refrigerator. If product is stored correctly, Pi-Ku-Plast has a shell life of approx. 18 months.
4.2 Monomer that has not been used must be poured back into the original storage container - risk of contamination!
Cleaner and monomer must be stored in separate containers. Mixing with cleaner results in irreversible damage to the monomer.

Qu-Resin
Qu-resin Features
Quick-setting, self-curing denture repair resin based on diacrylate for intraoral and extraoral (direct and indirect) use.
Qu-Resin is the perfect material when it comes to speed, regardless whether used in practices or laboratories. Qu-Resin covers a wide indication range thanks to its simple handling, quick setting, and life like color.
Dentist Use
Qu-Resin for intraoral use. The dentist is able to perform chair side repairs of the denture and reduce the amount of time considerably for both himself and the patient.
Laboratory Use
Compared to the conventional method of using cold-curing resin and polymerization in the pressure pot, Qu-Resin excels by reducing the processing time considerably. No pressure pot is required for Qu-Resin since the self-curing resin sets quickly.
Step 1
Tooth no. 24 is extracted and the partial denture is transformed into a full denture.
Step 2
A key is prepared to record the situation.
Step 3
The areas to be completed are roughened, Qu-Connector is applied and light-cured for 90 seconds. Then Qu-Resin is injected into the key; the key is replaced again and the tooth shape is completed from the oral direction.
Step 4
After curing, remove the key and complete the gingival sections of the denture with Qu-Resin.
